Middlesbrough Council is proposing the instal a traffic calming scheme on Clevegate, and is seeking feedback from the public. The letter linked here gives full details of how to comment. The deadline for comments is Thursday 6th April.

The cost of the proposed scheme will be met from the Members’ Small Schemes Allocation, using funding secured as the result of a successful bid by Councillor Mieka Smiles. Subject to the outcome of the public consultation exercise, the intention is to implement the scheme early in the 2023/24 financial year (i.e. the year commencing 1st April 2023). If approved, the scheme will be monitored closely following its introduction to ensure that it operates as intended.
