Following the loss of three trees locally this year, we are pleased to share that Middlesbrough Council has agreed to replace them. The Sorbus at Greenway, felled because of storm damage in February 2021, and the maple at the Whernside Play Area, maliciously damaged in October 2021 will both be replaced. The lime on Connaught Road, felled because of potential hazard in October 2021 cannot be replaced at the same location, but a replacement will be provided at a site to be agreed elsewhere in Nunthorpe.
